Olivia Harper

2019 School Co-Captain
Back to the team

Olivia commenced at Ruyton in Year 5 and instantly embraced all that Ruyton offers. She has been involved in a variety of co-curricular activities, ranging from sport and drama, to music and debating. With a specific passion for sport, Olivia has enjoyed participating in the GSV Cross Country and Athletics Championships. One of the things she loves most about Ruyton is the relationship between all girls, regardless of year level.

As a Year 5 student, she was immediately adopted by the older girls as a sister. Now, as a Year 12 student and 2019 Co-Captain, Olivia wishes to continue the existing sisterhood that epitomises Ruyton. Her vision for 2019 is not to make change for the sake of change, but rather to celebrate every single girl for their uniqueness, their talents and aspirations. Olivia aims to facilitate a School culture where students are encouraged to embrace the myriad of opportunities before them.

Mr Stephen Ellinghaus, Director of Ruyton Athletics, once said when addressing the athletics team, ‘The essence of this team is that they run for one another, give strength and support to each other and ‘out team’ their competitors.’ Olivia feels these words reflect the unique culture that is Ruyton.
