Will a parent or guardian need to hop in the water?

Parents and Guardians are required to be in the water during our infant classes.

Does my child need to wear a swim nappy?

Students under 3 years old, or students not fully toilet trained yet are required to wear a swim nappy in the water.

What should we bring to swimming lessons?

Towel, bathers, googles, swimming cap and a spare pair of clothes to change into.

How often are students assessed?

Students are assessed regularly throughout the term. Parents may request additional assessments at any time, and our team will try their best to accommodate.

How long will it take for my child to progress to the next level?

Every child learns to swim at their own pace. Our focus is on ensuring each swimmer builds strong technique, water safety awareness, and confidence before progressing to the next level.

Progression through our program depends on a range of factors. Some children may move through levels quickly, while others may benefit from additional time to develop and consolidate their skills.

Does my child need goggles?

Googles are recommended for swimming lessons as they help children feel more comfortable and confident in the water. While goggles are encouraged, our students will also practice swimming without them to ensure they are comfortable with water on their face and in their eyes.

Do I need to supervise my child at the pool?

Parents and guardians are required to be present at all times in the centre.

Should we swim over winter?

Yes! Swimming over winter continues to build on confidence, skill and essential water safety skills year around. Consistent swimming also supports students’ health, coordination and stamina, while providing a fun activity during winter!

Most importantly, students lean best through regular practice, and year-round participation helps them progress at their own pace while developing lifelong swimming and safety skills!
