We are delighted to announce that Ruyton Early Learning Kindergarten and Pre-Prep has been awarded the highest possible rating – Exceeding the National Quality Standard across all seven Quality Areas – following our recent Assessment and Rating process conducted by the Victorian Education and Care Regulatory Authority (VECRA). 

This is the third consecutive Assessment and Rating in which our Early Learning Centre has achieved this outstanding result, recognising the exceptional quality of education and care provided by our team and our ongoing commitment to creating a learning environment where every child is known, valued and inspired to thrive. 

Independent recognition of excellence 

The Assessment and Rating Report recognised the strong culture of connection, belonging and participation that defines our Early Learning Centre. It acknowledged children as capable and confident learners whose ideas, interests and experiences shape the educational program, fostering curiosity, agency and a genuine love of learning. 

Guided by the latest research, our educators thoughtfully create the time and space for children to learn at their own pace, encouraging deep thinking, curiosity, collaboration and confidence within a nurturing and responsive environment. 

Highlights from the assessment 

The report recognised a number of key strengths across our Early Learning Centre, including: 

• Respectful, responsive relationships between educators and children. 
• Strong partnerships with families, recognising parents and carers as children's first teachers. 
• Thoughtfully designed learning environments that encourage curiosity and independence. 
• Meaningful connections with the wider Ruyton community. 
• A commitment to embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives. 
• Learning experiences that foster inclusion, wellbeing, environmental responsibility and a strong sense of belonging.

This recognition reinforces Ruyton's commitment to providing exceptional early learning experiences where Curiosity, Kindness and Connection are nurtured from the very beginning. It is an independent validation of the outstanding work taking place in our Early Learning Centre each day, ensuring every child feels a strong sense of belonging, develops a lifelong love of learning and is inspired to flourish from their very first day.
