The Spirit of a Ruyton Girl
Peter Kanat is President of the Board, taking on the role in January 2017. He has been an active member of the Board since 2007 and was President of the Ruyton Foundation, spearheading the School's fundraising efforts.
He jokes that he had no choice but to join the Board, with two daughters educated at the School, a son who was at Ruyton Early Learning, a wife and sister-in-law who are Old Ruytonians, and a father-in-law who was a former Board member and Chairman for many years.
With a background in commerce Peter brings his strong entrepreneurial skills to the Board. ‘I am very impressed with the core values which Ruyton upholds. The Ruyton community is exceptional. There is a real depth of support between students, staff and families which is unique. This connection extends beyond the School, into the future for the next generation of Ruytonians, and back to the past, with the Old Ruytonians.’
