Yesterday our Year 12 leaders welcomed students back to School with enthusiastic cheers at the main gates, celebrating the gift of an ordinary day. Tuesday, Week 7, Term 2 2020 is a very ordinary day, except when you have been in distance learning mode for more than eight weeks. In the midst of a global pandemic and the swirling fog of Kew, the ordinary became the extraordinary as we celebrated community and social connection. With great personal restraint we managed physical distancing as faces lit up at the gate and friends saw each other again for the first time in weeks. On a cold and dreary morning 12 Selbourne Road came back to life; warm with love and joy and a strong appreciation for the ordinary.
