Virginia McLaughlan joined the Board in 2016. She brings human resources expertise and leadership experience to the board, together with past experience on a school board and in school governance. Virginia is currently a Human Resources Executive at IBM managing succession planning, executive identification and placement and leadership development across IBM Asia Pacific. She is a past parent of two Ruyton girls and has long had a keen interest in rowing at Ruyton, from participating in the School's MAD (mums and dads) Regatta to being a past President of the Henty Rowing Club.‘I have always been impressed by the strong sense of community spirit at Ruyton and value the firm grounding in life the School has undoubtedly provided both our daughters. I am delighted to be able to continue my association with the School through serving on the board.’
Virginia has a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Linguistics from Monash University; is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Fellow of the Australian Human Resources Institute.
Virginia has two daughters who attended Ruyton: Sarah (‘10) Laura (‘15) and John, who attended Scotch College (‘12).
