Celebrating the Class of 2025: Academic Excellence with Purpose at Ruyton

11 December 2025

Ruyton Girls’ School proudly celebrates the outstanding achievements of the Class of 2025, whose VCE results reflect not only exceptional academic success, but also the courage, commitment and determination that have defined their time at Ruyton.

As a proudly open-entry, non-selective school, Ruyton supports students with a wide range of abilities, interests and aspirations, encouraging every girl to achieve her personal best. The results of the Class of 2025 stand as a powerful testament to this philosophy, underpinned by strong relationships, expert teaching and a deeply connected school community.

The cohort’s 2025 VCE results are outstanding:

  • 15% of students achieved an ATAR of 99 or above
  • 39% achieved an ATAR of 95 or above
  • 49% achieved an ATAR of 90 or above
  • 11 perfect study scores of 50 across nine subjects
  • Median Study Score: 36

Ruyton is delighted to recognise our VCE Duces for 2025, Olivia Williams and Siyuan (Lucy) Huang, who both achieved a perfect ATAR of 99.95. In an extraordinary accomplishment, Olivia also earned four perfect study scores in English, Biology, Chemistry and French. Both students are known not only for their academic excellence, but for their leadership, generosity of spirit and active contribution to school life

Beginning secondary school during the uncertainty of 2020, the Class of 2025 developed resilience, adaptability and optimism from the very start of their Ruyton journey. They have supported one another, embraced challenge, and contributed enthusiastically to academic, co-curricular and community life, leaving a legacy as role models, collaborators and leaders.

Principal Mrs Kim Bence reflected on the cohort’s achievements, noting that while the academic results are impressive, what matters most is who these young women have become.

“Education is not just about results - it’s about meaning and purpose,” Mrs Bence said. “The Class of 2025 have worked not only for their own success but have celebrated and supported the success of others. They leave Ruyton exceptionally well prepared for what comes next”.

Ruyton extends its sincere thanks to our dedicated educators for their expertise, care and commitment, and to the families who have partnered so closely with the School throughout the VCE journey. We congratulate every student in the Class of 2025 and look forward with pride to the meaningful contributions they will make beyond Ruyton.
