Congratulations to the Class of 2019

Congratulations to the Class of 2019

The Class of 2019 set themselves the ambitious goal to lead this year with courage and ardour; something they have achieved in so many ways. Throughout the year they have applied themselves to their academic studies with grit and endeavour, giving their best and supporting each other. Their passion, talent and compassion have been highly evident in their leadership of our student body on the stage and the sporting field, and in taking action to support community and environment.

This year our student leaders have reminded us that courage looks different for everyone as they have been fearless in pursuit of what sets their soul on fire. We are enormously proud of each and every one of these young women and what they have achieved; both individually and collectively.

Today we share and celebrate a snapshot of the Class of 2019 VCE results with the Ruyton community. Statistics can never fully reflect the rich and personal stories of determination and courage that characterise each girl’s journey; their hard work and dedication to achieve their personal best. As a community we also acknowledge the strong support of parents and family and the commitment and expertise of our staff.

Snapshot of the 2019 results:

·         100% of students achieved their VCE

·         11% achieved ATARs of 99 and above

·         38% achieved ATARs of 95 and above

·         57% achieved ATARs of 90 and above

·         75% achieved ATARs of 80 and above

·         The median ATAR was 92.5

·         Our girls achieved scores of 50 in English and Physical Education.

Congratulations to Grace Audrey Wang, the Dux of Ruyton Girls’ School for 2019, for achieving an ATAR of 99.90.

At Ruyton we realise that a single grade, mark, medal or score never fully defines our success as a human being. We believe that every young woman has the potential to make her mark on the world; to raise her voice and take action; to be bold; and to live a life of impact and purpose.  It is our girls’ endeavour, morals, compassion and actions that we will always admire. As women of character and integrity only they have the power to define themselves and their success.

We look forward to following the continuing stories of the Class of 2019 as they make their mark on the world. We wish them well and thank them for their outstanding contribution to Ruyton Girls’ School.
