$20 Boss Student Entrepreneurs

$20 Boss Student Entrepreneurs

It has been a privilege to work with these dedicated and enthusiastic students who have identified a passion and followed it through.

Students in the Year 9 and 10 $20 Boss elective have begun their trading days and are already experiencing the satisfaction of seeing an idea become a reality.

Emily has conducted a series of basketball skills sessions for Junior School students. These have been very well received, with over 30 students involved in a series of drills and games designed to sharpen existing skills and develop new ones.

Sophia, Ellie and Mikaylee held a very successful cookie dough stall. Dozens of students came to the stall, keen to buy cookie dough and select their toppings. The girls were pleased to report that they sold out before the end of lunchtime.

Hana, Talaja and Aimee developed a range of scented sachets, which sold very well. Hopefully, parents and teachers will appreciate the more pleasant aromas around the locker room and sports bags.

Kylie and Mary created homemade lip balm with all-natural ingredients. These have been eagerly snapped up by many students.

Angela and Stephanie have been taking orders for bespoke iPhone covers with many students acting on the opportunity to protect their personal devices.

Annie and Jordan developed a range of study aids and tips designed to assist younger students in preparing for assessment tasks.

Dorothy made a range of beeswax wrappers and tapped into the growing awareness and support for recycling and sustainability. Having sold out of her initial supply, she has begun filling more orders from staff and students.

Maya worked tirelessly in her home kitchen to create a professionally presented range of healthy snack bars. The students enjoyed the natural flavours and great taste of these snacks.

It has been a privilege to work with these dedicated and enthusiastic students who have identified a passion and followed it through. As a class, we have been able to raise funds for a variety of charitable causes and realise that entrepreneurship certainly provides challenges, but also provides the opportunity to problem solve, think creatively and support others.
