Last Thursday, a team of enthusiastic Year 6 debaters competed in Round 2 of the 2017 NGS Super National Virtual Debating Competition. Congratulations to Laura C, Carla H, Georgie T and Georgia W for winning their debate against Camberwell Girls' Grammar School on the topic: Australia should aim for zero population growth. We hope to continue our debating tradition with the Trinity boys later in the year.
With Mia A, Aaditri B, Abigail P and Georgie T leading the team to success in Round 1 last term, the girls have won both debates thus far and have qualified to compete in the next round. We would also like to thank Ms Welsh for her ongoing guidance, leadership and support in co-ordinating this wonderful opportunity for the Year 5 and 6 girls.
