Co-Presidents of the ORA

Mia Antonopoulos
‘Ruyton has always been a very large part of my life; I started in 1998 at the Fitzwilliam Street Pre Prep and finished Year 12 in 2011.  Since leaving, I have remained connected to the School through the ORA committee, the Old Ruytonians’ Running Club, and coached rowing in my first year out of school. My decision to join the ORA committee in 2015 was due to my desire to give back to the School that had given me so much, and to help the network between the ‘Old Girls’ and current Ruytonians continue to develop. After Ruyton, I went on to study Osteopathy at RMIT University and I am currently working as an Osteopath, while continuing to coach rowing in my spare time.
Taking on the role of Co-President of the ORA with Liv (Fowler) will be a new and incredibly rewarding challenge, and I am looking forward to helping celebrate 140 years of Ruyton and 110 years of the Old Ruytonians’ Association.’

Olivia Fowler
‘I started my Ruyton journey as a Year 7 in 2006 and graduated with the class of 2011. Mia and I were Anderson Co-Captains in Year 12, which was an unforgettable and rewarding experience for both of us, and really capped off a wonderful time at Ruyton. Since finishing school, I’ve had a number of part-time roles, including working with the Ruyton PE Department, as well as volunteering with community organisations, advocating for people with disabilities and asylum seekers. Recently, I graduated from Deakin University with a double degree in science and laws, and am currently a graduate lawyer. I joined the ORA committee in 2015 to stay connected with the School and to be involved with the development of networks in the wider Ruyton community. I am very excited to take on the role of Co-President in what will be a fun and celebratory year for Ruyton and the ORA.’
