Travelling to Ruyton

I love Ruyton because when I walk through the gate you get a warm feeling that this is where I belong. Natasha I

In 2006 Ruyton Girls’ School worked with the Department of Transport’s TravelSmart team to encourage students to make smarter choices about how they travel to School. As a result, several Walking School Bus routes were established in the Junior School, where adult volunteers walk with the children to School. This not only promotes independence and fitness, but also helps reduce our reliance on cars.

Ruyton is in an ideal location for access by public transport. There are several tram routes and the nearest train station is on Glenferrie Road. The ‘Kew Schools’ buses service the area.

The Melway’s reference is 45 E7.
