Founder's Scholarship

Ruyton Girls’ School is pleased to offer a full fee Founder’s Scholarship for entry in 2022.

Providing financial assistance to a girl entering Year 10 or 11 who would otherwise be unable to experience a Ruyton education, this award is based on above-average results, school reports and an interview with the Principal.

Eligibility

To be eligible for the Founder’s Scholarship, applicants must be:

  • A new student entering Years 10 to 11 in 2022.
  • An Australian citizen, permanent or temporary resident.
Selection Criteria

Applicants will be assessed using a combination of the following selection criteria:

  • Preparedness to engage in the life of the School and participate in a range of co-curricular activities.
  • A willingness to uphold the School’s values and show leadership qualities amongst peers at all times.
  • An ability to exemplify good citizenship values through interactions within the School and outside in the broader community.
  • A commitment to act with respect and uphold Ruyton’s reputation through personal appearance and actions.

The scholarship will cover to the completion of Year 12 provided that the applicant continues to meet the selection criteria listed above for the duration of their time as a student at the School.

Required documentation

The following documents are required for your application to be processed:

  • The applicant’s most recent school report
  • The applicant’s most current NAPLAN results, or if not available, then a second school report.
  • A recent photograph of the applicant.

The parents or guardians of short-listed candidates will be required complete a financial means test application.

To apply for this scholarship, please complete the Expression of Interest form below.

Applications close Tuesday 31 October 2021. Shortlisted applicants will be contacted to attend an interview.

A Founder’s Scholarship will cover remission of tuition fees. In special circumstances the scholarship will also provide support for books and stationery, uniform, camps and other activities/educational programs.
