International Programme
Ruyton offers a variety of international opportunities for students and has an extensive network of sister schools in Canada, China, New Zealand, the United States, the United Kingdom and South Africa.
The aim of the programme is to provide Year 10 girls with an international experience through a cultural exchange in either a day or boarding school. Some schools are co-educational, others emphasise particular aspects of the exchange during the senior years is seen as a valuable experience. Students benefit from developing new skills and personal qualities, whilst the language based exchange visits also provide an intensive exposure to strengthen language skills.
In addition there are a number of overseas special interest trips offered, such as music tours, sporting tours, as well as cultural, language, art and history trips.
The International Programme opens a window on the world that encourages understanding and friendships and girls often reflect on their time overseas as highlight of their school days.
