Co-ordinate Programme
Ruyton enjoys a tradition of working closely with Trinity Grammar School (all boys).
Since 1993 both schools have run a Co-ordinate Programme, working in association to offer shared VCE classes in many subjects.
The Co-ordinate Programme is offered at Years 11 and 12 at an age when students have developed sufficient maturity and self confidence to work effectively in an enhanced classroom environment.
This arrangement allows both schools to retain their traditional identities, social environments and leadership structures, while offering additional benefits:
- Greater flexibility and range of curriculum options
- Valuable experience and preparation for the tertiary or workplace environment
- Development of communicative, personal and social confidence in a mixed gender environment
