Co-Curricular
Ruyton recognises that its students are versatile and active. These qualities are met by the School's comprehensive co-curricular programme.
Ruyton offers a comprehensive co-curricular programme in which all girls are encouraged to participate. Debating, Drama, Music and Sport provide numerous opportunities for involvement, competition and enjoyment through participation.
The Community Awareness Programme and the editorial committee for The Ruytonian magazine offer students further opportunities for involvement in co-curricular activities.
Special interest classes are also offered after the regular school day. These include: art, ceramics and design, dance (jazz, tap and ballet), drama, photography, rhythmic gymnastics and tennis.
The Expanding Horizons Programme is a thematic outdoor education programme extending form Year 3 to Year 10. It is complemented by the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme and extension outdoor education programmes operated by the Outdoor Education Combined Schools Project.
The chance to try new challenges such as skiing, rowing and equestrian events further enrich a Ruyton girl's school life.
