Senior School
Throughout their school life, Ruyton girls encounter many opportunities to develop their talents and interests. In the senior years each girl is guided, encouraged and challenged to develop the knowledge, skills and emotional intelligence needed for a fulfilling adult life. Counselling is provided to help students make appropriate subject, career and vocation choices.
Students have access to a comprehensive range of subjects through innovative arrangements which include the Co-ordinate Programme with Trinity Grammar at VCE level and the Year 9 and 10 multi-age elective programme.
Consistently Ruyton's academic achievements are outstanding. This reflects in no small way on the girls' own enthusiasm and endeavours, as well as on the dedicated professional staff and the stimulating and well-managed curriculum.
The Senior School offers opportunities for enrichment and extension activities as well as programmes for leadership, human studies and community service. Senior students also have access to the Expanding Horizons Programme and the Year 10 International Programme and they are encouraged to develop wide-ranging interests in activities such as theatre, art, music and sport.
Additional programmes in place cater specifically for the senior student and include the Year 10 International Programme and the Years 11 and 12 Co-ordinate Programme with Trinity Grammar.
