Co-Curricular
Versatile and active describes a Ruyton Girl.
Ruyton offers a comprehensive co-curricular programme in which all girls are encouraged to participate. Debating, Drama, Music and Sport provide numerous opportunities for involvement, competition and enjoyment, through many sporting teams, debating competitions, musicals, plays, orchestras, choirs and ensembles.
The Community Awareness Programme and the Ruytonian magazine offer students opportunities for involvement in further co-curricular areas.
Additional special interest classes are also offered after school. These include: Dance (Jazz, Tap and Ballet), Drama, Rhythmic Gymnastics, Tennis, Netball.
The Expanding Horizons Programme is a thematic outdoor education programme extending form Year 3 to Year 10. It is complemented by the opportunities provided by the Enrichment Programme in Junior School. The chance to try new challenges such as skiing, and equestrian events further extend school life.
