Junior School

At Ruyton we believe that primary school should be challenging, yet safe, friendly, reassuring and encouraging. It should be a place where each girl's contribution is valued, a place where she can grow.

In the Junior School the key learning areas are the major focus, complemented by a variety of co-curricular activities and enrichment programmes. As in the Senior School, technology is very much a part of daily school life. An important element of the Junior School education is the Expanding Horizons Programme, which focuses on the development of an awareness of self, others and the environment. This begins in Year 3.

Hand in hand with educational growth is the personal development of each girl, a substantial part of which is our Values Education Programme. In Junior and Senior School, Pastoral Care and Leadership Programmes are in place and nurturing a girl’s confidence and self-esteem is an important part of these programmes.
