ORA Committee

President: Caroline Jarrett

Caroline Jarrett attended Ruyton from Year 5 and finished her education there in 2005. Following this, she began studies at Melbourne University studying Property and Construction, which she is still completing. Caroline has been working full time at a Project Management firm, Coffey Projects, as a Project Manager for over 3 years now. She is currently involved in basketball and enjoys travelling. In 2006, Caroline joined the ORA Committee and was elected President in 2008.

Secretary: Natalie Pullan

Natalie Pullan attended Ruyton from 1993 – 2005 and joined the ORA in 2006.  She graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2008 with a Bachelor of Commerce.  Natalie works as Marketing Co-ordinator at Five AM Life, launching all Australian organic yoghurt into the market. She enjoys salsa reggaeton dancing in her spare time.  She hopes to travel and extend her career overseas and looks forward to seeing the ORA evolve into a prosperous association.

Treasurer: Andrea Fyfe

Andrea Fyfe completed Year 12 at Ruyton in 1989.  After studying at Monash University and Holmesglen TAFE, Andrea moved to Hong Kong to commence a career in International Education.  Andrea is now an Admissions Manager at the International Centre of Holmesglen.  Andrea is married and has a daughter.  Andrea has been a committee member of the ORA since 2004.  She has previously held the position of Secretary, and is now Treasurer.

Committee Members

Fleur Coldwell

Fleur Coldwell (Summons) left Ruyton in 1990 and graduated from Monash University in 1997. ‘Fleur is a solicitor who has practised in commercial litigation and all aspects of commercial law.’.  She has been a volunteer at several community legal centres, and has also participated in fundraising activities for a well known charity organisation. Fleur is also a member of the Board of Ruyton. She is married and has three children. Fleur has been a committee member of the ORA since 1998, and has held the positions of Secretary and President of the Association.

Vanessa Gough

Vanessa attended Ruyton between the years 1954 - 1968. She joined the committee of the Old Ruytonians’ Association in the 1970’s. Over the years she has travelled extensively throughout Asia and Europe. Vanessa came back to Ruyton as a teacher and taught pottery under principal, Margaret McRae, in the building now known as South House, and later at Merton Hall, among other locations, in a career spanning 20 years. Her extensive qualifications include Dip. Art RMIT, Dip. Art/Craft Mercer House, B. Ed Melb. Uni., Post Grad Ed. Melb Uni., Masters Ed. Melb. Uni. Vanessa is currently studying Arts Theory at Melb. Uni.

Fiona Horman

Fiona attended Ruyton 1966 – 1979.  She left Ruyton to pursue a career in classical ballet.  In 1986 she founded Regency Media, a company which distributes and manufactures content for the Australian entertainment industry. Fiona joined the ORA Committee in 1996, and her daughter, Natalie. who graduated Year 12 in 2005 now a member of the ORA Committee - with her Mum!  Fiona is also a member of the Board of Ruyton.

Freya Marsden

Freya completed Year 12 at Ruyton in 1989. She graduated from Melbourne University with a Master of Commerce, and La Trobe University with a Bachelor of Agriculture and Resource Economics.   Freya has undertaken a number of public and private sector roles including more recently Director Policy - Business Council of Australia, providing tax advice to the Commonwealth Treasurer in Parliament House, as a policy adviser for Commonwealth Treasury, and as Senior Economist for Maunsell.  Freya is currently a full time mother with two children and joined the ORA at the end of 2010.
