World Water Day was observed on Tuesday 22 March. World Water Day is an international observance and an opportunity to learn more about water related issues, to be inspired to tell others and to take action to make a difference.
The Ruyton Sustainability Team promoted the day in a number of ways. Leading up to the event a water footprint survey was conducted to reflect on our water usage and receive targeted tips to help reduce water wastage. A poster competition was held to select the promotional poster to be displayed around the School.
On the day the students held a water bottle and shower timer stall. Each bottle came with a water message from the Sustainability Team. Once a bottle was purchased, the students were able to enter a completion to win a water bottle filled with blue lollies.
