Hiscock Court was a hive of activity on Community Service Day last Wednesday. Student donations of food items for the Food Bank for Refugees, Survivors and Ex-detainees (RISE) have been collected over the past few days and will make a significant difference to those struggling to provide food for their families. Our chosen charity, RISE, is the first refugee and asylum seeker welfare and advocacy agency in Australia run by refugees, asylum seekers and ex-detainees. A Casual Clothes Day and a barbecue on Community Service Day helped raise funds to support the charity. While taking the opportunity to support others in need, the girls also enjoyed a wonderful communal activity.
Thank you to Mrs Barrah and Community Service Captain, Grace Z for co-ordinating the activities.
