There is a series of groups whose work underpins many of the opportunities available to our School community.
Friends of Ruyton Equestrian Team (FRET)
FRET supports students involved in equestrian activities when representing the School in competitions, including the provision of transport and help with organisational details such as entries and training camps.
Friends of Ruyton Sports Association (FORSA)
FORSA helps to promote sport at Ruyton by assisting with inter-school competitions. Parental support has been an integral part of the success Ruyton enjoys in cross country, rowing and many other sports. Parents provide transport, refreshments and moral support as spectators.
Henty Rowing Club
Henty Rowing raises funds for the purchase of capital equipment such as boats and oars and provides support for the Director of Rowing. The Club organises the attendance of parents and friends at regattas and promotes camaraderie through social functions.
Ruyton Aquatic is a swimming club which was established in 2011 to provide an ongoing opportunity for students to compete in swimming competitions outside of Girls’ Schools Victoria (GSV.) Within the Club parents work alongside the Head Coach to provide a full fixture of training and competition opportunities. Ruyton Aquatic train at the Ruyton Aquatic Centre which is located in the grounds of Ruyton Girls’ School. Membership is open to both Ruyton and non Ruyton swimmers.
Ruyton Rhythmic Gymnastics Club
Ruyton Rhythmic Gym supports gymnasts in both the Junior and Senior Schools in their training and performance at competitions both nationally and internationally.
Ruyton Saturday Netball Club
The Club welcomes all girls from Year 4-12 to participate in the netball programme as a player, coach or umpire. Matches are played on Saturdays. The programme promotes the development of netball skills, teamwork and sportsmanship.
