The School Co-Captains
Our Co-Captains for 2017 are Roshica Ponnampalam and Meredith Rule.
Since beginning her journey at Ruyton in Year 5, Roshica has thoroughly immersed herself in the culture of the School and strived to recognise every opportunity presented to her. Roshica’s love of music led her to participate in a wide range of different groups, including choirs, orchestras and bands. She has also been involved in the Ruyton/Scotch play and Ruyton/Trinity musical, allowing her create some long-lasting memories, but also experience the amount of teamwork required to put on a show. Despite her inclination to the performing arts Roshica has always attempted new things and tried to involve herself in other areas of the School through participating in GSV sports such as softball, and being a member of the Ruyton Student Council. She is looking forward to the year ahead, and has no doubt that 2017 will be a challenging, yet rewarding year.
'Ruyton has always been so much more than a school to me. The warm, stimulating and inclusive environment that Ruyton provides has never failed to support me in my endeavours, but has also shaped my perceptions of the world and myself. Every moment spent at Ruyton has instilled in me a sense of belief in myself and my values. That is something that I will carry with me for the rest of my life. '
