Our Co-Captains for 2016 are Rose Adams and Jane Karopoulos.
Rose commenced her journey at Ruyton in Year 5 and launched herself into the many varied opportunities on offer. Rose has always loved music, and throughout her time here has participated in numerous instrumental and choral groups, loving the atmosphere of girls of different ages banding together over one common interest in music. Rose also has a burning passion for the dramatic arts and immersed herself into the Drama programme, enjoying a wide range of roles in both the annual Ruyton/Trinity musical and play. She has participated enthusiastically in House events, Ruyton Saturday Netball, GSV afterschool sport, swimming and cross-country. Rose’s love of public speaking came into being in Year 5 when her speech, Me and My Imagination, became a finalist in the Public Speaking Competition. Rose’s appointment as Junior School Co-Captain in Year 6 helped her develop leadership skills, ably supported by the Ruyton community.
‘What I love about the School is its warm, compassionate and inclusive environment. Never has there been a moment, throughout my years here, when I have not felt valued and welcomed, along with all Ruyton girls who are just as passionate about embracing the amazing opportunities this School has to offer. I can say quite honestly that Ruyton has shaped me to be the girl I am today.’
