Mrs Jennifer Woollard
‘Volunteering gives me great personal satisfaction. While life is busy, with three children and part time work, it is always a pleasure to be part of the Parents of Ruyton (POR) community.’
‘One of the most significant times in my life was at senior school. I have fond memories of being involved in school activities, with my parents supporting me when they attended sporting and music events. I knew when I had my children I also wanted to be involved in their school communities. I have three children, Georgia in Senior School and Lachlan and Angus at Scotch.’
Jenny completed a Bachelor of Economics and pursues a career in Accounting and Taxation services for family-based businesses. After the arrival of her daughter she established her own practice to assist other accountants with the preparation of the accounts and tax returns for Self-Managed Superannuation Funds. This allows Jenny the flexibility of being able to attend functions and classroom activities for her children.
‘I enjoy organising and attending activities which help people in the community connect and form friendships. Over the last four years I have been the co-chair of the Questers’ group and have made many new friends in a variety of year levels. It has been a pleasure seeing the delight on the girls’ faces at the Easter, Mothers’ Day and Fathers’ day stalls. We also introduced the sewing group, which creates lovely smocks and library bags for the Early Learning and Prep/Year 1 children. The Questers’ stall at the Ruyton Fair was a huge achievement and we raised significant funds, while enjoying the company of a wonderful team of ladies.’
Mrs Vicki Doufas
‘From the day Alexia started kindergarten in 2010 it has been obvious to us that Ruyton is a beautiful and unique school, perfect for our daughter and family. We have embraced the warmth of the Ruyton community and the many opportunities Ruyton offers for our daughter’s growth and development.
I am honoured to be take on the role of Co-President POR and look forward to both welcoming families and supporting parents as they contribute and participate in the many different areas of the School. I have enjoyed being a class rep and a class helper, participating in Questers, being involved in literature circles, school excursions and supporting musical and sporting events.
The Ruyton community has provided a wonderful opportunity to create new lifelong connections and I look forward to contributing through the POR for the benefit of others.’
Vicki has a Bachelor of Business in Marketing from RMIT and a Masters in Business Management, Monash University. She has worked in the utilities, publishing and recruitment industries in sales and marketing, and in senior business management roles. She is currently working part time in a project management business, which allows time to play an active role in the growth and development of her children Alexia, and Lucas at Trinity, through the many educational, sporting, musical and social activities in which they participate.
