‘To be a good Director of Studies it is important to have been exposed to those facets of the school which you are now overseeing, in order to understand the importance of efficient daily organisation at the student/teacher interface.’
Lindy’s previous experience in schools as diverse as Lowther Hall, Kilvington, Sacred Heart College and Mentone Grammar means she understands what works and doesn’t work in a teacher’s and student's life at school, and the support that is required to ensure the smooth running of the school day. At Ruyton she is responsible for the daily organisation, creating and managing staff and student timetables, co-ordinating all assessments and reporting, overseeing and managing parent/teacher interviews and organising the VCAA and internal exams. Lindy is both Primary and Secondary trained, and specialises in history, geography, commerce and PE. Away from work she enjoys playing tennis, bike riding, swimming and skiing and has travelled extensively.
