Drama, Dance and Music are vital and exciting aspects of the co-curricular life at Ruyton, with a range of activities to appeal to students from Prep to Year 12.
Junior School Music
Music plays an important part in each girl’s daily life. In addition to class music (the String Programme and the Band Programme) there are many choirs and instrumental ensembles. During the year there are frequent opportunities for girls to perform at Assemblies and evening concerts. Ruyton also offers private instrumental and voice tuition.
Junior School Drama and Dance
Drama and Dance are active components of the curriculum, where skills, imagination and creativity are explored. Public performances are a highlight with each year level, and Ruyton has a well-deserved reputation for a dynamic and creative performing arts programme.
Senior School Music
Ruyton’s vibrant and dynamic music programme offers girls an opportunity to learn a wide range of musical instruments as well as to participate in numerous ensembles.

Senior School Drama and Dance
Ruyton is renowned for the breadth and creativity provided in its co-curricular programme in the performing arts. Throughout the Senior School there are many opportunities for girls to perform. All girls are able to participate in Ruyton’s Got Talent, the Drama Club and the Performing Arts House Festival (PAHF.) At Year 7 and Year 8 there is a School play. At Year 9/10 there is the Ruyton/Scotch play and for Years 9-12 the Ruyton/Trinity play and the Ruyton/Trinity musical.
